Leadership Development Programs

BOOST Program:

Building Organizational Opportunity by Sponsoring Talent (BOOST) is a BD University Leadership Development Program designed to further accelerate the growth and development of key talent.  The program centers around sponsorship and is designed to inspire sustained and committed involvement in advocating for and supporting the program’s participants to succeed at BD.

KEY Leadership Program: Unlocking your Sales Leadership Potential

US Region Leadership Development Program aligned across all business units with a goal to prepare a diverse group of individuals for roles in leadership with a better understanding of BD as a whole, and most importantly, to share our strong talent across the broader organization.

RISE PROGRAM: Building Manager Foundations

BD University foundational program for BD people leaders/managers. Managers will learn to create a culture of feedback through coaching and helping others reach their fullest potential. A new US Region cohort for Sales Leaders has been created specifically for the Sales organization and is led by the US Sales Effectiveness Team.

KAM Program: Key Account Management Leadership Program

US Region led Key Account Management Leadership Development Program designed to prepare a diverse group of future account leaders across the enterprise. Participants will learn to understand the Integrated Delivery Network (IDN) profitability, contracting, negotiations, mature account planning process, matrix team leadership and BD executive presence skills.

ALP PROGRAM: Advanced Leadership Principles Program

US Region led Advanced Leadership Principles (ALP) designed to prepare a diverse group of commercial managers to become second-line sales leaders (AVP/NVP/VP) within the US Region. Participants will engage in executive leadership imperatives, financial acumen, Integrated Delivery Network (IDN) profitability, executive coaching and sponsorship, motivational quotient, culture building, hiring, business case for ID&E and stewardship of the BD brand/portfolio.

BD Sales Diversity Internship Program

BD’s Sales Diversity Internship Program is a 10- to 12-week program designed to attract highly motivated undergraduates who want to acquire practical work experience within the Sales Organization. Students may work within cross-functional or interdisciplinary teams and may have multiple internal partners and customers.

Additionally, students will be partnered with peers, senior personnel and supervisors who will provide informal mentoring and coaching towards success. Students will be exposed to the BD culture and our process of selling medical device products across the US. The goal of the Sales Summer Internship is to enhance BD’s organizational vitality by developing a pipeline of diverse candidates for the sales organization. Click here to learn more.
