Molding Process Engineer (Multiple Positions), Becton Dickinson and Company, Columbus, NE. Provide technical expertise on molding process and equipment issues within the department. Review output and performance data to identify production trends and daily challenges. Execute Engineering Studies, EWO's (Engineering Work Orders), validations, and change control. Create technical knowledge for the manufacturing unit and transfer the knowledge to the operator and technical associates. Handle top losses within the manufacturing unit, develop and implement plans to eliminate losses and drive OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) performance. Follow good manufacturing practices.
40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree] or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering (Any), or a related field, and one (1) year of related work experience. In the alternative, the employer will accept three (3) years of related work experience. Must have one (1) year of experience with/in the following: • Technical Molding process and validation; • Medical Manufacturing; • Operating molding peripheral automation equipment; • Supporting molding process and machine validation activities for new product introductions and process improvements; • Scientific molding, mold design and metrology; • Understanding dimensional and functional impacts of molded parts on final assemblies and coordinating with R&D to assess potential risks; • Completing process development to establish and test all parameter ranges prior to validation; and • Reviewing equipment operations to update, amend, and create procedures based on equipment status.
