Job Description Summary

Reporting to the Sales Training Manager, the Sales Training Specialist (STS) is responsible for creating, maintaining, and delivering training content for internal, customer-facing associates. The STS interacts directly with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to design and build innovative and engaging eLearning training courses for delivery in the both in-person and virtual settings. The role is responsible for supporting all Sales Excellence objectives and improving sales competencies overall.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop training courses and curricula to meet learning objectives for sales training programs

    • Coursework will cover technical/product training and selling skill training

  • Work with Sales Training Manager to deliver virtual and in-person training sessions

  • Support On Boarding Sales Process and Training

  • Work collaboratively with SMEs to obtain requirements and details needed for creation and testing of training contents

  • Develop interactive content using authoring software such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, and Adobe suite of products

  • Set up and test eLearning courses in the LMS and assign to users as instructed

  • Curate and manage LMS & training content in an on-going basis

  • Conduct field travel and provide coaching and feedback as required to support field sales competencies improvement

  • Support all Sales Excellence metrics and supporting activities

  • Support on going training and improvement objectives around SalesForce utilization and best practices

  • Work with Marketing colleagues, to support the development of digital sales enablement tools, such as:

    • Go-to-market and/or customer-facing content

    • Optimization of lead scoring and demand generation activities via Salesforce CRM

  • Perform other related duties and assignments as required.

Key Success Metrics:

  • On-time completion of course development projects

  • Successful outcomes in working with inter-departmental teams

  • On time completion of defined training objectives and milestones associated with Sales Excellence

  • Success with continual improvement projects and complex systems coordination

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated organization and project planning skills.

  • Creativity in instructional design of courses to meet business and learner’s needs.

  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment and across a matrixed organization.

  • Proven written and oral communication skills.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree; Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences-related field is preferred

  • Proficiency with MS Office suite of products

  • Experience with various selling skill methodologies ie. Challenger, Miller-Heiman, SPIN, etc.

  • Experience working in medical and/or life sciences industry; Sales experience in life sciences is highly preferred

  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView is preferred

  • Significant experience with Salesforce CRM, including lead and funnel management, dashboard and report creation

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with development of training courses is preferred

  • Fluency with eLearning software packages, such as Showpad, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia and equivalent

  • Experience with video/graphic design software packages, such as Adobe Premiere & Adobe Illustrator

  • Experience planning and conducting regional and National Sales Training Meetings

Travel Requirements:

Up to 30%
