Job Description
BD Interventional worldwide surgical business is a leader developer , manufacturer and marketer of innovative, life-enhancing medical technologies. BD is one of the global market leaders in providing solutions in soft tissue reconstruction including products for hernia repairs, specialised procedures, fixation and bioresorbable scaffolds.
Reporting to the QLD Field Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be primarily managing the Gold Coast and Northern Rivers Territory which will also include Bundaberg, Gladstone, Rockhampton and Mackay.
The Territory Manager will be a motivated and self driven individual who strives to overachieve on sales targets. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships across a range of specialties such as General, Plastics, Colorectal and Upper GI. This candidate will also be responsible for developing and maintaining a pipeline of opportunities in Sales Force to help drive adoption of best in class technologies.
This individual will have the opportunity to work directly with the National Training Manager who will provide you with the training and skills to succeed in this role.
Responsibilities:
Manages and achieves overall sales targets through effective prioritisation of current customers and new opportunities
Develops a pipeline of opportunities and business planning for the territory.
Establishes, maintains and develops key accounts based on business plan aligned to both organizational and customer goals.
Develops and maintains a level of excellence in clinical knowledge for BD products and competitors
Develops and maintains a level of excellence in territory management, pipeline management and selling skills.
Demonstrates strong organisational skills with SFDC calendar and call log management
Manage consignment accounts effectively within your territory
Maintains strategic business relationships in key accounts. Performs product demonstrations, customer education, department meetings, and in service as required.
Manage the territory with integrity and in accordance with BD's Code of Ethics and all applicable
Preferred Requirements:
Minimum 2+ years experience where the candidate has overachieved on sales targets in Health Care Sales.
Degree in healthcare or science preferred
OR/Theatre experience preferred
A strong understanding of the sales process and territory management
Exhibits natural curiosity by asking questions and seeking to understand
Proven track record of high-level sales successes and driven to achieve results.

Presents, educates, and provides in-services on the process/procedure of properly using the Company’s products to surgeons, OR staff, and other key stakeholders
Training and educating physicians and hospital staff on the use of the products.
Ensuring surgeons and staff have the most current product information available.
Ensuring effective utilization of the products by all trained surgeons within territory .
Strong business acumen and analysis skills with proven understanding of how strategies and tactics work in the marketplace.
Effective communication skills both written & verbally exhibiting a high degree of emotional intelligence
