Job Description

Job Summary**

The Sr. Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth and market share expansion for Becton Dickinson (BD) India Private Limited in Rajasthan. This role involves leading a team, developing strategic sales plans, and fostering strong customer relationships to achieve ambitious revenue targets.

Job Responsibilities**

* Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies and action plans to achieve and exceed sales targets and market share objectives within the assigned territory.
* Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management to optimize individual and team productivity.
* Identify and cultivate strong relationships with key opinion leaders, distributors, and large institutional customers (hospitals, diagnostic labs, research institutions) to understand their needs and position BD solutions effectively.
* Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new business opportunities and refine sales approaches.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, technical support, and product management teams to ensure seamless customer experience and effective product launches.
* Manage sales forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes, providing accurate and timely updates to senior management.
* Ensure compliance with all company policies, ethical guidelines, and relevant industry regulations.
* Negotiate and close complex sales agreements, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
* Represent BD at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer events to promote brand awareness and generate leads.

Job Qualifications**

* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Science, or a related field; MBA preferred.
* Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive sales experience in the medical device or healthcare industry, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
* Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets in a competitive market.
* Strong understanding of the Indian healthcare market, including distribution channels, key customers, and regulatory landscape.
* Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to think strategically, analyze data, and make data-driven decisions.
* Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
