Job Description Summary

The Regional Cyber Security Officer is a critical role within the Service Organization of the Informatics team. This position requires a dynamic and experienced professional who will serve as the first point of contact for customers during cybersecurity incidents or suspicions of incidents. The Officer will be responsible, together with the Global Incident Management team, for defining and implementing the regional strategy and processes to support thorough investigations, while maintaining a customer-facing role.

Job Description

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Customer Incident Management: Act as the first point of contact for customers experiencing cybersecurity incidents, ensuring the permanent connection with the Global Incident Investigation team. Provide immediate support and guidance, ensuring effective communication and coordination throughout the incident management process.
  • Regional Strategy and Process Definition: Develop, improve, implement and continuously educate on a comprehensive regional strategies and processes that facilitate efficient investigation and resolution of cybersecurity incidents. Continuously assess and improve these strategies to align with evolving threats, technologies and customer requirements.
  • Customer Engagement: Maintain a strong customer-facing presence, fostering trust and confidence in the organization's cybersecurity capabilities. Lead discussions with customer’s IT department and Client’s Management on incident status, investigation findings, and recommended actions.
  • Investigation Support: Coordinate for the EMEA Regional and support detailed investigations into cybersecurity incidents, leveraging both internal and external resources. Ensure thorough documentation and analysis of incidents to identify root causes and mitigation strategies.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Produce detailed reports and documentation on cybersecurity incidents, investigations, and resolutions. Present findings to senior management and partners as necessary.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the GLOBAL team and other regional teams within the Service Organisation, Informatics, sales and Marketing to ensure cohesive and comprehensive cybersecurity management. Share insights and standard processes across teams.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in cybersecurity management or related roles.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Experience in product security and incident management.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing cybersecurity strategies and processes.
  • Cybersecurity Expertise: In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies. Familiarity with current threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies.
  • Incident Management: Proven experience in managing cybersecurity incidents, including detection, response, and recovery. Ability to handle high-pressure situations with calm and efficiency.
  • Product Security: Understanding of product security concepts, including secure development practices, vulnerability management, and product lifecycle security. Ability to assess and improve product security measures.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams during incidents and investigations. Experience in developing and implementing strategic plans.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key customer’s partners, such as: Chief of the Laboratory, Customer’s IT representatives and Customer’s Cybersecurity Experts (internal or outsourced). Experience in customer-facing roles and handling customer concerns effectively.
