Job Description

As a Senior R&D Scientist you will be a key role in the development and validation of innovative bioscience products. In this position, you will work across product development teams to lead system validation activities throughout the product lifecycle, translating scientific expertise and customer needs into effective product solutions.

You will contribute to the design of test strategies, development of validation protocols, and interpretation of complex data while collaborating with colleagues across engineering, quality, regulatory, marketing, and product development. This is an opportunity to influence product design, support the introduction of new technologies, and help deliver solutions that meet scientific, customer, and regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and execution of system validation activities across all stages of product development.
• Develop test strategies, test methods, validation protocols, and supporting documentation.
• Analyse and interpret experimental data, communicating findings through reports, reviews, and technical discussions.
• Conduct complex laboratory studies and apply scientific expertise to guide study design and best laboratory practices.
• Translate customer workflows and user feedback into product requirements and testing approaches.
• Lead projects and initiatives, balancing technical considerations with business objectives and project timelines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support product development, technology evaluation, and continuous improvement.
• Provide technical guidance and contribute to strategic decisions through scientific insight and evidence-based recommendations.

Preferred Requirements:

• Degree in Immunology, Cell Biology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related scientific discipline, with at least five years of experience in a clinical, research, pharmaceutical, medical device, or related environment.
• Minimum of five years of hands-on flow cytometry experience; experience across multiple flow cytometry platforms would be advantageous.
• Strong background in experimental design, statistical analysis, data interpretation, and scientific problem solving.
• Ability to independently execute complex studies and critically evaluate study designs, including sample size calculations and statistical approaches.
• Demonstrated success leading medium to large projects and delivering results in evolving and fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build consensus and work effectively across diverse teams.

Salary range for the role: €68.000 to €70.000 per annum
