Reporting to the Sales Operations Manager, the Sales Operations Analyst plays a key role in driving the effectiveness of sales compensation programs and supporting strategic decision-making through data analytics. This role is responsible for the execution and administration of sales incentive plans, processing compensation payouts, and delivering accurate and timely sales reporting. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced analytical tools to generate insights, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and demonstrate strong business acumen in all compensation-related activities. Additional responsibilities include validating data integrity, providing training on analytical tools, and conducting ad hoc sales performance analyses. This position requires close collaboration with departments such as Sales, Marketing, HR, Business Intelligence, and Finance to ensure alignment and operational excellence. The position is based in our Mississauga, ON office, with an on-site presence required four days per week.
Job responsibilities:
- Support Sales Compensation Activities: Contribute to the design and implementation of bonus plans, assist with target setting, and manage performance reporting and payout processes to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Strategic Partnership: Serve as a trusted business partner to Sales and Marketing teams by leveraging data analysis and visualization tools to drive informed, actionable decisions that enhance commercial effectiveness.
- Project Leadership: Lead, manage, or actively participate in cross-functional Sales Operations initiatives, ensuring timely execution and alignment with strategic goals.
- Data Quality Assurance: Perform rigorous data validation and end-user testing of dashboards to ensure accuracy, usability, and enable self-service capabilities for stakeholders.
- Training & Enablement: Deliver onboarding and ongoing training for new and existing team members, develop tailored training plans for various user levels, and maintain comprehensive, up-to-date documentation.
- Ad Hoc Analytics: Conduct targeted sales analytics and reporting as needed to support evolving business needs and strategic initiatives.
Education and Experience required:
- University Degree
- Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in sales operations, sales analytics, sales compensation, or data reporting and analysis.
Knowledge and Skills required:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams, navigate differing viewpoints with diplomacy, and influence outcomes without formal authority. Demonstrate adaptability and resilience in dynamic environments, maintaining a solution-oriented mindset in the face of challenges or ambiguity.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adjusting to shifting priorities.
- Strong focus on data accuracy and validation to ensure reliable reporting
- Must possess advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including proficiency in conditional formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data modeling to support complex data analysis and reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite tools such as Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
Preferred qualifications:
- Proficiency with Power BI, Power Query/DAX preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in SAP and Salesforce platforms preferred
