Role Purpose
Performs CAD drafting duties on tooling design, fixturing, equipment build and electrical schematics in support of Engineering activities for Process Development Center (PDC).
Essential Job Functions
Perform basic redline reviews, Update basic CAD drawings per Engineering Change Requests (CRs) through PDM (Product Data Management) system for PDC in collaboration with team members.
Convert/Modify basic sketches or marked-up prints into engineering drawings
utilizing CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD, Solidworks, Creo) in accordance with process and procedures for PDC
Provide routine R&D engineering support from Design, Fabrication/Rapid Prototyping, Engineering Studies to Equipment Troubleshooting on projects within
PDC under supervision of other team members and/or stakeholders
Education/Experience
ITC/Diploma in Mechatronic/Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering
Knowledge in Mechanical/Electrical CAD Drafting
Required Skills
•Ability to read, comprehend, write, and speak English
• Experience with Rapid Prototyping will be advantageous preferred
• Able to operate drill press, grinders, engine lathe, or other machines to modify parts tested or to fabricate experimental parts for testing will be advantageous
• Basic written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
• Experience in reading, interpreting, and creating of CAD drawings and electrical schematic
• Proficient in Solidworks is a must required; Will be advantageous with Experience on Creo, AutoCAD, CAD PDM preferred
• Basic understanding in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
• Proficient in drafting principles, techniques and procedures
• Basic understanding of electrical drawing standard
• Highly detail oriented with a critical degree of accuracy regarding data entry and analysis
• Must be able to work in a team environment and with minimum supervision, including inter-departmental teams and with other departments
• Experience in new process or equipment validation such as IQ, OQ & PQ will be advantageous
• Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
