Job Description Summary

We are looking for an Account Manager to join our Medical Delivery Solutions (MDS) team, covering the territory of Helse Vest and Sørlandet HF in Norway. Based ideally near Bergen, you will build and strengthen relationships with hospitals and healthcare centres, supporting customers with BD’s comprehensive portfolio of products, services, and solutions. A key part of the role involves managing tenders effectively and driving sustainable sales growth, while collaborating closely with colleagues across Norway and other departments. You will report to the local Sales Manager. This role involves up to 4 days of field work and some overnight stays.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver monthly and annual sales targets within your assigned territory
  • Manage tenders and contracts with accuracy and efficiency
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals and senior decision makers
  • Develop and implement annual and three-year business plans in collaboration with your manager
  • Provide accurate CRM reporting and ensure data quality
  • Share market insights, including competitor activity and healthcare system trends, with the wider sales and marketing teams
  • Support the Norwegian team in achieving national objectives when required
  • Maintain a strong understanding of BD’s offering and the evolving healthcare environment

About you:

  • Degree-level education, preferably in nursing or a healthcare-related field
  • Proven clinical experience in a hospital setting is essential — you should be confident navigating hospital environments and understanding the customer.
  • Solid experience in healthcare sales, ideally including PICC lines and tender processes would be beneficial but is not a must.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare provider environment and purchasing structures
  • Focused on achieving goals, dedicated, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
  • Organised and structured, with strong planning and prioritisation skills
  • Fluent in Norwegian and English, with good IT proficiency
