Job Description Summary
We are looking for a motivated and knowledgeable Field Application Specialist to join our BD Biosciences (BDB) team in the Nordics. In this customer-facing role, you will act as a subject matter expert in flow cytometry, providing hands-on training and application support across BDB’s portfolio of instruments, software, and reagents. You will play a key role in supporting both our customers and our Nordic Commercial Team, combining technical expertise with a consultative approach. This is a field-based position with regular travel across the Nordic countries.Our vision for BDB at BD

Main responsibilities will include:
- Deliver high-quality support and consultation to customers using BD’s flow cytometry systems, both on-site and remotely
- Conduct training sessions for new and existing users on instrument operation, software, and workflow optimisation
- Support the sales team with pre-sales activities including product demonstrations and technical presentations
- Represent BD at trade shows, workshops, and user meetings by providing expert guidance and application support
- Act as a technical resource for internal colleagues, sharing expertise and insights
- Capture and report field activities and customer interactions through Salesforce.com
- Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and scientific advancements to support customers effectively
- Gather and share customer feedback with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement
About you:
- Master’s degree in Life Sciences or related field; PhD is a plus
- Hands-on experience with flow cytometry, including instrument setup, panel design, troubleshooting, and data analysis
- Previous customer-facing experience or industry exposure is an advantage
- Strong communication and presentation skills with a customer-first mindset
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 80%) across the Nordic region
- Proficient in English; knowledge of a Scandinavian language is a plus
- Valid driving licence
