The Director, Sales Enablement is responsible for all activities and resources focused on professional development and sales enablement of the BDPI field sales organization, which includes initial new hire sales onboarding and training, continuing education activities and resources, professional development of the field sales organization, and the development and implementation of sales enablement technologies. Effectively manage cross functional teams with various stakeholders to drive value across the organization. Employs current research on adult learning, human performance improvement, and leadership development in order to achieve performance standards. Actively engaged with sales leadership to continually evaluate and improve department alignment, processes, technologies, and activities to anticipate and meet the changing needs of the business. Ensures that strategy and activities of the department are aligned with BDPI leadership objectives.
Essential Duties and Position Responsibilities
Designs and develops an annual training and development strategy for the Sales organization
Direct supervision and accountability for recruiting, leadership, and development of associates in Sales Enablement Department
Oversees the design, content, structure and deployment of a comprehensive in-field on-boarding process for new sales and clinical hires in the US (and OUS as needed).
Oversees and leads the design, development, and deployment of agendas, curricula, training materials for and presentation/delivery of:
Sales Academy, Sales Academy II, Advanced Training

Professional Selling Skills & Coaching Programs
Sales Management Development
Leadership Development
Develops a cutting-edge, enterprise-wide leadership development program using structured curricula, assessment processes linked to competency models, action learning and rotational programs, as well as programs to meet individual needs for development.
Assesses current US training (and OUS training as needed) development and leadership programs and ensures alignment with strategic business goals and reports metrics to the Vice-President of Sales, Sales Managers, and Country Managers.
Ensures design of instructional materials meets industry standards for effective adult learning, capitalizing on blended learning solutions.
Makes recommendations for process changes, resource allocation, and personnel changes to meet the evolving needs of the US sales organization.
Develops and designs leadership capability and bench strength through a modular and systematic approach.
Responsible for vendor management ensuring appropriate procurement of services to address specific sales training and field-based credentialing needs.
Assists with corporate training and development initiatives or cross-divisional, cross-regional assignments as needed.
Oversees vendor credentialing process for internal and field-based registrants.
Responsible for identifying, contracting, and monitoring Centers of Excellence for our Clinical Principles’ physician-proctored training programs.
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree required
Minimum of 7 years combined relevant sales training and outside sales experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical or similar industry
People management, project management, curriculum management.
Classroom and online facilitation experience.
Knowledge of learning systems, training methodologies, instructional design and adult learning; experienced stand-up trainer.
Executive level written and verbal communication and consensus building skills.
Willingness to travel.
