Medication Management Solutions

With our technical capabilities, the Medication Management Solutions (MMS) team are able to manage multiple systems and our operational capabilities enable us to have medications available when and where needed, reducing inefficiency and waste for nursing and pharmacy teams.

About the role

As a Clinical Specialist, you will join the team and focus on delivering expert clinical education and training to healthcare professionals across the UK, primarily in the South Central area, with travel outside this region required. The role combines hands-on clinical expertise with the ability to guide and support customers in achieving safe and effective use of BD MMS solutions. You will play a key part in improving patient outcomes and advancing best practices in acute and integrated care.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Providing in depth training on the full MMS portfolio and education in line with legislation and recommendations relating to health and safety for Patient and Healthcare Workers, ethics and hospital protocols.
  • Working within the BD UK training strategy and product offerings and ensure training is provided in line with training Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
  • Collaborating with customers and colleagues to ensure pump configurations and data set development meets customer needs and has full approval In line with SOP.
  • Proactively arranging activities in an organised and efficient manner adhering to company processes.
  • Attending trade conferences and exhibition / coordination – as a delegate and to support commercial activities.
  • Providing immediate and accurate reporting on any issues raised.
  • Engaging with professional groups such as CQC, NAMDET, RCN, NNNG, PINNT, BAPEN supporting and influencing initiatives.
  • Actively working with the local team members to support and promote BD portfolio. This will include, but not limited to customer presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Ensuring all training activities adhere to standards aligned to the applicable accredited bodies.
  • Being responsible for own Continuous Professional Development to maintain and increase clinical and industry knowledge.
  • Collaborating with the Dispensing specialist to facilitate audit’s both pre and post installation of BD Pyxis.

About you

  • NMC Registered Nurse / Midwife - Revalidation must be maintained/achieved within 12 months of date of commencement of employment.
  • City and Guilds level 3 award in Education and Training or Clinical equivalent (Mentorship/Preceptorship qualification).
  • Evidence of substantial Clinical Experience in specialised therapies.
  • Excellent Clinical skills -minimum of 2 years essential, preferably 3 years experience in infusion therapy.
  • Goal oriented and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Proactive and the ability to take initiative with a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Passion to “make a difference” to advancing the world of health.
  • Ability to handle and prioritise multiple tasks.
  • Self-motivated - demonstrates personal drive and ambition, fostering innovation, focusing on delivering to our customers.
  • Demonstrates the ability to interact and cooperate with all BD employees both within the UK and international markets.
  • Embodies trust, integrity and ethics inside and outside of the company.
  • Excellent social skills with the ability to influence others at all levels.
  • Computer literate with a solid understanding of Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driving's license is essential.

Salary range for the role: £47.000 to £49.000 + bonus + benefits
