Job Description
We are looking for a Commercial Excellence Manager to help shape how our Advanced Diagnostics business operates across Northern Europe.
This is a highly visible regional role combining commercial excellence, business intelligence, process improvement and transformation. You will work closely with regional and country teams to turn data into meaningful business decisions, improve commercial processes and support major initiatives across the region.
A key part of the role will be supporting the ongoing transition and integration with Waters, translating regional and European requirements into practical actions across Northern Europe. You will also contribute to the development of our commercial capabilities across Salesforce, Power BI, pricing, tender management and lead-to-cash processes.
The role offers significant exposure across the organisation and the opportunity to influence how we work during an important period of change.
We are open to candidates across the region, including the UK, Nordics and Benelux, and can offer either a remote or office-based working arrangement depending on your location. For each location, a different salary range will be applicable.
Responsibilities
- Use commercial, market and performance data to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement, providing clear insights to support business decisions.
- Develop intuitive reporting, dashboards and KPIs using tools such as Power BI, Excel and Salesforce to improve visibility of commercial performance.
- Improve sales and commercial processes across Northern Europe, including Salesforce adoption, reporting, field effectiveness and lead-to-cash activities.
- Establish effective tender processes, support important bid decisions and help sales teams develop competitive tender strategies while maintaining appropriate costing and governance.
- Support pricing decisions and initiatives designed to improve profitability, working with European pricing colleagues to develop practical tools and guidance.
- Lead cross-border projects that introduce or improve commercial tools, systems and ways of working across the region.
- Coordinate regional activities related to the Waters transition, connecting country teams with EMEA functions, monitoring dependencies and addressing business-critical issues.
- Support commercial agreements and processes in line with relevant legal, regulatory and contractual requirements, including SLAs and DPAs.
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, engineering, mathematics or another relevant discipline.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in commercial excellence, sales operations, business intelligence, financial planning, business analysis, transformation or a related area.
- Strong analytical ability with experience translating complex business data into clear insights, recommendations, KPIs and management reporting.
- Practical experience with Excel, Power BI and Salesforce, including dashboards, reporting or commercial performance management.
- Experience leading process improvements or cross-functional projects, with the confidence to communicate, influence and challenge at different levels of an organisation.
